Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Manager

Position Overview: Christian Life Community Church (CLCC) seeks a reliable and practical individual to serve as our part-time Facilities Maintenance Manager. This role focuses on overseeing the general maintenance of our church building and taking care of day-to-day facility operational needs. The goal is to ensure our church is consistently safe, functional, and ready for use. This position involves coordinating necessary upkeep, addressing immediate needs, and communicating effectively with church staff and volunteers. Partnership with CLCC is preferred, but candidates aligned with our mission and values are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Maintenance:
- Monitor the condition of the church building, grounds, and key systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical,etc).
- Coordinate routine preventative maintenance and necessary repairs, primarily using volunteers or external contractors.
- Ensure groundskeeping (e.g. lawn care, basic landscaping, snow clearing) is handled appropriately through coordination.
- Day-to-Day Operations:
- Conduct regular walk-throughs of the facility to identify immediate needs, potential issues, or safety concerns.
- Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day facility requests or problems (e.g., minor fixes, etc.)
- Ensure maintenance-related supplies are adequately stocked.
- Respond promptly to urgent facility issues that arise.
- Coordination & Communication:
- Communicate effectively with church staff, leadership, and volunteers regarding facility status, needs, and work schedules.
- Liaise with external contractors when professional services are required.
- Maintain basic records of maintenance activities and repairs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, property upkeep, caretaking, or a related field.
- Good practical knowledge of general building maintenance tasks and basic understanding of building systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks within a part-time schedule.
- Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented in identifying and addressing facility needs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with staff, volunteers, and contractors.
- Ability to work independently and problem-solve effectively.
- Partnership with Christian Life Community Church is preferred. Alignment with the church’s mission and values is important.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks relevant to oversight and minor day-to-day needs, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Successful completion of a background check is required.
Schedule:
- This position averages approximately 5 hours per week. The schedule offers flexibility suitable for overseeing ongoing needs and requires availability for coordination.
